Influence of molecular weight distribution on wood plastic materials:

From the point of view of molding, the wide molecular weight distribution is better than the narrow one. The fluidity is better, for it is easy to process and control, and the wide molecular weight distribution can reduce the die pressure, reduce the tendency of mold melt fracture and improve the processing performance. And wood plastic composite decking floor can improve the extrusion speed under the same conditions.

 

However, the wide molecular weight distribution also indicates that there are low and high relative molecular weight parts. When the proportion of low relative molecular weight parts is too high, the mechanical properties and thermal stability of the products are reduced. Wood plastic floor with its classification effect in flow also makes the low molecular weight of the polymer concentrate on the surface of the extruded parison, or even clear from the surface. It seems that some small white particles are sprinkled on the top. The inner wall of the blow molded products is rough. The falling white particles are easy to block the air valve and cause the air system failure.
